Job Summary:
This “IT Security Analyst” position assists in the management of an enterprise-wide security governance, risk and compliance program. This person will be charged with the responsibility of enabling businesses to operate securely, while protecting their online infrastructure from end to end.
The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and security audit functions. This position is specifically responsible for contributing to the success of comprehensive security initiatives and will initiate, facilitate and promote Cyber Security within assigned organizations as well as monitor adherence to cyber security policies, standards, and controls.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Advocate For Cyber Security As An Essential Business Requirement
- Serve As a Liaison Of Cyber Security To Businesses Media And Enterprise Security GroupsParticipate With Senior IT Team To Translate High-Level Business Requirements Into Enterprise Security Initiatives And Programs To Achieve Cyber Security Mission, Goals And Objectives
- Participates In Discovery Of Root Cause Issues and/or Lessons Learned Exercises, As Well As Post Mortem Event Analysis. Complete Follow Up Activities To Ensure Lessons Learned And Remediation Activities Are Completed As Planned
- Work Closely With IT Team To Plan, Design And Check Appropriate Levels Of Security Governance, Resource Management And Asset Management
- Work With Sales Team To Assess And Secure New Clients
- Ensure Effective Communication And Partnership With All Team Members, Contractors And Clients
- Support Leadership In The Development Of Strategies, Policy And Standards To Protect Business Information And Technology Assets
- Assist In Developing, And Maintaining Cyber Security Policies, Standards, Procedures, Checklists, And Guidelines Using Generally Recognized Security Concepts And Control Frameworks, Tailored To Meet The Requirements Of The Various Clients That We Serve
- Contributes To The Development Of a Risk Based Cyber Security Program Which Meets Regulatory Requirements, Minimizes Business Risk, And Aligns With Industry Leading Information Security Practices
- Manage Level 3 Escalations To Successful Conclusion
- Inspect Requests For Exceptions To Policy And Draft Suggested Decision Memorandum To Include Requisite Mitigation Strategies
- Monitors Industry Regulatory Environment for Impact On Security Programs And Changes To Security Compliance Standards
- Assists In Drafting Recommendations To Communicate Control Performance Results And Regulatory Findings To Management In An Efficient, Timely And Concise Manner
- Perform Other Assignment And Duties As Required
Qualifications:
- Degree In Computer Science
- Be Willing To Be On Call 24/7
- Must Be Suited To Work In a Fast Paced Environment
- 3-5 Years Of Industry Experience
