Privacy Policy

Capable Security strongly believes that you have the right to control the use of your personal information, and that your privacy must be respected. We strictly limit the collection and processing of your personal data, and to the best of our abilities we will work only with other organizations who do the same. We will not use personal data that you provide to us in a manner inconsistent with the purposes for which you provided it to us, as set out below.

Confidentiality

We do not (under any circumstances) sell, rent or lease personal data. However, we may collect and share aggregate website statistical information (such as sales, traffic patterns or related information) with third parties. No such shared statistics will contain any personally identifying user information.

We will vigorously challenge any attempts by any government agency or private sector organization to gain access to any information that you give us.

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) outlines in detail our organizational and website data collection and processing practices in various sections:

Visitor Identification

When connecting to our website, Capable Security may automatically collect technical non-personally identifiable information. Examples include the type of Internet browser used, your computer operating system and the IP address of the website from which you are linked to our website. When viewing our website, information in the form of a “cookie” or similar file may also be stored on your computer.

If you do not wish to receive cookies or want to be notified when they are placed on your computer, many Internet browser’s settings allow you to erase existing “cookies” or block or warn before a cookie is stored on your computer. Consult your specific browser’s instructions to learn more about these features.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
