The Cloud Security Engineer candidate is responsible for assessing, analyzing and vetting online security across various spectrums. This role will interact with Senior Team Leaders to ensure global security measures are protecting the web infrastructure and assets of our clients.
This individual will be a major contributor to our aggressive plans regarding market share dominance as well as product footprints in this sector. As a critical member of the Capable Security Cyber Security Team, you will consult with current and prospective clients in person, as well as utilizing telephone and video conferencing.
This is a remote position that does require traveling; consequently, candidates for this role can domicile in any major city within the United States.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operation And Management Of Networking Topology, TCP/IP Protocol, Network
- Configuration And Components (Firewalls, Routers, Proxies, VPNs, etc.)
- Proactively Review, Recommend, And Implement Changes To Live Infrastructure After Confirming The Correct Validation Has Been Deployed
- Brainstorming – Contribute To Security Initiatives From The Whiteboard To Implementation
- Conduct Regular Infrastructure Audits, Vulnerability Assessments, And Penetrations Tests
- Create, Update And Maintain Policies And Implement Procedures And Technologies To Achieve And Maintain PCI Compliance
- Participate In Post-Mortem Investigation Of Security Incidents And Prepare Incident Reports Documenting The Conclusions
- Blend Innovation And Speed In a Constantly Evolving Cloud Architecture
Qualifications:
- Degree In Computer Science
- Be Willing To Be On Call 24/7
- Must Be Suited To Work In a Fast Paced Environment
- 5-8 Years Of Industry Experience
Experience And Skills With The Following:
- Software Development Experience (PHP, Python And Java Preferred)
- Scripting Skillsets (Ruby, Python and Bash Preferred)
- Knowledge Of Firewall Configuration, Management, And Hardening
- Experience In Cyber Threat And Vulnerability Analysis And Remediation
- Expert In Saas Protection
- Experience With HIPAA And PCI compliance In An E-Commerce Environment
- Solid Working Knowledge Of Linux
- Experience With IDS/IPS, HIDS/HIPS, FIM, SIEM, Web Application Firewalls
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms, Version Control Systems
- Rapid Response Cyber Security Threat Experience
- LDAP/Radius, Wireless Networking, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, IPv4/v6, And Administration Of Routers And Switches
